Clash of Clans Town Hall 11 Update

Well the new update is out and there are plenty of resources online for what all came with the update.

Right now for me, it is very hard to earn loot.  Mainly if you are not attacking all the time.  I lose more in a day than I gain so upgrading to Town Hall 11 is going to be a lot farther out than I thought it would be.  

Yes, I see big loot on on searches but if I can't take out half the base and get the Town Hall then I'm just losing out.  Which seems to happen.  I don't want to have to make a big army every time just to attack any base I run across with high loot.

I'm definitely not gaining anything on exilir.  Which stinks because I need to gain in order to upgrade my walls.  I haven't went up in the slightest on exilir in the game since the update came out.  If I spend what exilir I have on walls then I won't have any to make troops.  I am earning a little in gold but just barely.  Normally I would have been able to upgrade my next building by now.

I wish they would have let Town Hall 10 get the Grand Warden.  It would really have helped us Town Hall10's be able to fight better.

So currently on my base I have to upgrade all my Air Defenses, Cannons, and Archer Towers.  That's 7.5 million a piece.  It just gets ridiculous at this level.  Once those are done I can finally go to TH11.

I also don't understand why they won't let us upgrade the gold and exilir storages at Town Hall 10.  It would help us get ready for Town Hall 11 as the Eagle Artiliary requires you to max them out to hold the new 10 million in gold.

Star Wars Battlefront

I've been wrapped up playing Star Wars Battlefront since it came out.  Been skipping TV shows and everything else to play it whenever I can.  So I haven't even thought of posting on here.

I was hoping to have a bunch of friends playing it so I bought it for that aspect too.  I saw a bunch of friends playing it that first week and I've got to play with a few different people.  Even hooked up with some that weren't on my list that I haven't seen for awhile.  The following week though, most fell off and were playing other games.  I guess Fallout 4 just has more appeal along with some other new games that just released.

Ive been doing pretty good on the achievements and was getting at least one a day up until I got sick from a stomach virus.  I didn't play at all and over the next 2 weeks it was short spans of when I played because I just wasn't up to it.

People are playing still but not as often as I thought they would be.  Black Ops 3 still dominates my list of games being played followed up by Destiny.

I've played the single player a good bit.  I've got all the stars for the training missions along withe the achievements associated with them.  I've found all the diamonds on every board in Battle and Survivilists.  Also beat them all on easy.  Got a couple done on hard. It finishing hard without using a heart, even with a coop partner, is really hard to do.  I haven't even tried Master yet.

The game looks fantastic.  Being able to play on both sides, fly, speeder bikes, drive AT-ST's and AT-AT's.  They game is really fun to play.  However some people are really good or doing something as they just dominate the game.  I can't figure out how someone can be that good.

While unlocking cards I didn't realize I could upgrade my cards.  Having them cool down faster really helps. It getting to 7000 to upgrade them takes awhile.  Especially when you still haven't unlocked all the cards.  I just realized the other day there is 4th slot for a trait slot.  It upgrades itself during the match for how good you do.  Those cards can be really handy.

So it's getting close to playing time again.  Later!

Dying Light

Well after finally going back to this game it didn't take me that long to finish.  Even finding all the collectibles didn't take very long using guides online.

What took forever was finding three other players to play online with through five quests.  I tried to randomly find games online but that is where Dying Light had its biggest flaw.  It randomly puts you in a game.  You can't see the games and you have no control over who's game you join.  Also depending on where you are on the map will determine the amount of people on the area you can connect to. 

To say the least, the majority of the games I jumped in only had 1 player. Around 50% would just be standing there doing nothing.  So getting an achievement where you can't find enough people randomly online to play with just isn't going to work.

I asked all my friends but most had either finished the game or gotten rid of it.  Only had one that still had it.

So I setup some True Achievement events that nobody ever joined.  I was making them 1 day after the next.  So I finally made one 3 days out.  A friend who had it but had never played jumped in and a random person joined.  Luckily my 1 friend who did still have it said he would break away from Fallout 4 to help me and he made my 4th person I needed.

We had issues connecting all 4 of us initially but we finally all got in together.  I finished my last achievement to get all 1000 points in the game.

I did get 1 DLC achievement in one of the updates but I'm not going after the other 2 in it.  Plus I'm not buying the other DLC released for it either.

So I'm officially done with this game.

The game was good.  If you like Dead Island, you'll enjoy this game.  It's basically the same thing.  Once you're done though, replaying it can only go so far.

Clash of Clans Update

It has been a bit since I've posted on Clash of Clans.  I'm still chugging away at it.

The new update threw me off because the day it came out I literally finished all my walls to black.  As of today I finally have all my walls black again.  I currently have 2 more exilir upgrades (Lightning spell and Goblins) and then I can spend all my explore on going to the black LEGO looking walls.  Can't wait to get to that point.  I've almost got enough to start that Lightning spell.

We finally dropped the requirements down and are letting smaller Town Halls in.  It really does help when it comes the the clan wars.  We were doing 10v10 before and we were always under matched with the other clan having 3-4 more Town Hall 10s compared to us.  It makes it really hard to win.  Now we are doing 15v15 with the lower Town Halls and we are getting matched up way more evenly.

We've even had some old members come back that have been gone awhile so it's nice to have them back.  Some of our newer members are really progressing good as well.

Here's a picture of my current base design.  It's a good base for war, just move the Town Hall to the middle.  I think you can see to move the gold storage and dark exilir around to get it in.

Tap Titans

I picked this game up a few weeks ago on my Android phone.  I usually don't use my phone for games but I've been trying to find one for when I have a min just to pass the time.  Low and behold, I found Tap Titans. 

I wasn't expecting to get into this game but it sucks you in.  It's just a simple tap the screen game.  That's all you do when you first start.  The game doesn't give you any help and you will have to learn things as you go.

It doesn't take long that you'll see the money dropped will let you upgrade your attack.  Then you'll see a new pop up after earning enough to buy your first helper.  After a little more upgrading you'll see you keep getting more helpers to help you kill Titans.  Following that you will see you can unlock skills the higher your level goes so you unlock that and you have to minimize the menu to see your ability to use them.  They have a timer after you use them until you can use them again.  Finally you'll realize you can also upgrade your helpers which each one unlocks their own abilities.

As you can see, a lot happens in the first few minutes of the game.  It's simple but it adds depth the more you play.

Fast forwarding to level 600, yes level 600, you will get the ability to prestige.  Once you prestige you unlock even more things to do.  Artifacts become available to help you, you'll figure out you can click on your character in the menu where items can be purchased for your hero.  Which you also unlockout items depending on what you do in the game and you'll unlock the tournament mode.  Which to me will drive you to play it more within one day than you would normally do.  Then you'll figure out that your helpers can get weapons to help them. 

They do add items to help you.  A fairy comes out every so often and drops a chest with a random perk to help you.  Some of these involve watching ads to get the perk.  Some are long (50 secs) to short (10 secs) ones.  It's worth the reward but you can skip them. 

They have a daily challenge to beat a boss which gives you a better reward each day.

They also have achievements which will give you diamonds by accomplishing things in the game.  Some examples are how many times you've tapped, your highest stage, how many times you've prestiged, etc...

Mentioning prestige, don't be afraid to do it.  It resets everything back to 0 and you start on stage 1 again.  However you do keep your unlocked perks so you do get stronger.  Another good reason is that's when you get artifacts.  The only other time it's when you hit stage 80 and you get 1 every 10 stages.  You get a lot more when you prestige.  You also have to prestige when you join a tournament.  Overall the main reason you don't need to worry about dropping back to the beginning is that it takes you way less time to get right back where you were.  It really does fly by when you can kill the early stage Titans in 1 hit.

The last thing I'll bring up is the friend icon at the top.  When you go in you will see your friend code at the bottom.  If you
have a friend that starts playing, get their code or have them add yours.  When they are your friend, you can invite them into a party to chat but it also puts their character on your screen.  Whenever they are tapping it also taps on your screen.  So you can get help on taking down Titans.  I've only had 2 on my screen at once and they do damage to the amount your hero does.  Its still cool and helpful.  I'm up for adding more people, so if you want to add me, my friend code is zoly40v.

Overall, this simple tapping game grows into more than just typing and they did an excellent job on this game.

Finally Finishing Some Games

I finally got on a streak and I've finished shed off a few games.

The big one being Happy Wars for the Xbox One.  Getting to level 50 takes some time to do.  Not sure which was harder to get, that achievement or the one for 6 hero medallions.  I got the 6 hero medallions first but only because I got a 2nd NBK for 30 kills in a match without dieing.  I'm definitely glad to have finished it.  Loaded the Xbox 360 version yesterday and played a match which gave some free achievements in that.  Should have looked at the achievements before hand as I could get a few more without having to put in a lot of time.  I'll do them at some point just to get them.

After that I went over to Peggle 2.  I suck at finishing all the challenges but someone had a way to get all the challenges done without having to actually finish them all.  Takes a little time but way less than finishing all the challenges which I wouldn't be able to do.  So I finished all the challenges and knocked that game out.

Next was the Forza Horizon Fast and Furious game I got for free when they put it out.  The game should only take 3 hours but I ended up playing it over the course of the entire weekend.  Found all the extra stuff for the Forza hub.  However, I didn't find 2 boards to break and a I missed a speed trap.  The achievements are done so I might look this up to see if I can find them just to have did everything if the Forza hub counts it.  If not, then I'll be done with it for sure.

While doing all those games I saw someone doing the GoPro camera achievements so I decided to try not to miss a day again.  I always missed the weekends on it so I started last Saturday and made it all the way through 7 days watching 10 videos a day.  So knocked out an App achievement that should have been done a long time ago.

It's nice to have actually finished up a bunch of games after being stuck in Happy Wars for so long.  I actually went back and started playing my Dying Light again.  Definitely need to finish this game off.  Sucks as I just went through some arena and I lost all the stuff I had on me.  Having to find and make all new items again is going to suck.  Trying to remember all the controls after not playing for awhile is a little hard to do on this game.  Mainly the special moves you can do.

I might start up Castle Crashers along side this but haven't decided yet.  I got it for free and I'm guessing if you owned the first game it was free for you to get on the Xbox One.  Not sure if there is a time limit on that though.  I missed that it was released and just so happen was looking through the games and saw it.

Happy Wars

Finally hit level 45 in Happy Wars on Xbox One.  I'm really getting tired of playing this game.  I get kicked out more often than not so I lose all progress during the match.  I get kicked out before the match starts quite often as well.  It's just getting tiresome.

On top of that it obviously takes longer to level up the higher you get so 5 more levels is not going to go quickly.

Crossing fingers that I can finish it up this month.

Five Nights at Freddie's 4

Let me start out by saying I've never played any of the Five Nights at Freddie's games.  My kids have played all three and talk to me about it all the time.  My wife has never watched or played the game either.

So now for the setup.  We just upgraded my daughters Kindle from a 1st generation to a 3rd (the HDX model) and she has a Fire TV in her room.  Mirroring is now a possibility.  If I'm going to play this game, what better way to do it than to mirror it and have the volume turned up.

I was having an issue getting the mirroring to work with the Kindle Fire HDX and Kindle Fire TV.  Finally found a solution online that seems to be spot on.  The mirroring hangs up very easily and the Fire TV tells you to hit any button to kill the mirroring.  It doesn't work so well that way.  Since I could never officially connect the fire time, I had to unplug the Fire TV to make it reset itself.  Then mirroring would work.  After that, you need to make sure to stop mirroring on your Kindle device first before you hit any button on the Fire TV or it will hand and you will have to unplug the Fire TV again.

So we bought the game today and my kids haven't gotten past night 1 yet.  They got scared and quit.  I've never played so a I started a new game.  The screen gives you instructions on what to do and how to do it but you don't really know what's going on.  The crazy things on the bed kept popping up behind me but I stopped them.  I had about 2 hours to go on the first night without much happening.  Then when I went to the left door I heard footsteps for the first time and I pulled that door shut and didn't want to let go.  It put me a little on edge.  I did hear the footsteps run away.  So I opened the door and shined the flash light down the hall.

Empty.  Whew!

So I went back and kept checking the bed behind me to only have 2 crazy bunny things jump off the bed. 

Went to the right door, no noise, turned the flash light on and saw something move away quickly.  The squares with the words overlap where they are at so it's a little hard to see until they move and you know for sure it was there.  So after that, it was a mad dash back and forth checking everything and made it through night 1.

Night 2 didn't take very long for the pitter patter of feet to start happening.  Every time I went over to a door, I swore I was hearing something.  Every time I shined the flash light I would see something.  The anticipation was building up and I was going back and forth as quick as I could.  I finally went to the right door and I think I stayed too long holding it.  Went to the bed and looked behind me.  Turned around and BAM!  Bunny with teeth jumped out at me with a scream.  I'm not going to lie, I screamed as I was not ready for it.  Which then in turn made my wife holler and scream.  The game got me and this is what all the talk is about for FNAF games.

After I calmed my nerves for a minute, I tried night 2 again.  I was doing good checking the doors and keeping the bed clear.  At that point, my daughter was like, you really need to check the closet.  So I go check the closet, turn on the flash light and the monster is right there but not moving.  I don't know what to do.  I closed the door, opened it, flash light and it's still there.  I finally hold the door shut for a short amount of time.  When I let go and shine my flash light, a fox toy is on the floor with no monsters.  So now I'm back to checking the doors from all the footsteps and I forgot about the closet again.  Went back to closet and it was empty.  Ran back to the bed and the wife screams when the fox jumps out.  Which in turns scares me. 

Yep, we're done for the night.  Two big scares is enough for us.  Kids are scared and don't want to go bed now.  Thanks FNAF4.

Finally Have My LG G4

It has been interesting to say the least since last Thursday for getting my new phone.

To start off I preordered the phone from what I thought was a true Verizon Wireless store. Come to find out on Wednesday night that the phone was $50 cheaper on the Verizon site.  It was then that I found out the store I ordered from was an independent store because she couldn't fix the price.

So the following day when the store opened I called to get the price fixed. They can't adjust it. Imagine that. A $50 dollar cheaper phone lowers my bill and the taxes I pay on it.  I'm definitely not paying the price they sold it to me for.  Since the box wasn't opened and it was staring at me in the store, I cancelled the order.  Which required me to drive out to the store as they can't do it over the phone.  That was a waste of my work day I have to make up.  Especially since the guy couldn't do the order cancellation correctly.

Once it was cancelled, I was then able to place the order on the phone with Verizon because the real store in town didn't get any leather backs in of the phone.  Was told 2 day shipping and today makes day 4 that I finally get my phone.

Getting everything setup on the phone but took a few minutes to type this up.

So far it's nice but I'm more curious if the battery is going to last me all day or even 2 from what I've seen online.

LG G4 Announced Today

My contract is up in like a month and I've starred looking at phones.   Having an S3 now I looked at the A14 but it has the same issues I have now which I don't want to deal with anymore.

I saw the announcement of the LG G4 and just finished watching the announcement for it.  

The kept the 808 Snap Dragon processor so it won't be overheating like the new phones using it are doing.

The camera is untouchable and has a manual mode for adjusting it like you would a real camera.  The fact the lens can bring in more light makes the pictures come out even better.  Plus the added feature of saving a raw file.

Another big key for me is the battery will last over a day.  That's a big deal for me as I'm tired of having to charge 2-3 times a day.

One thing that will make this phone stand out is they have leather backs which I definitely want to get.   They are making 3 other colors that aren't leather so you have an option if you don't want leather.

I think I've found the phone I'll be buying.  Just hope the release date die the US is within a months time.

Terraria

 I've been playing Terrari since the beginning of January as the game went on sale the last day of the Microsoft sales going on and my daughter really wanted me to play it. 

Terrari will remind you of Minecraft except it's not 3rd person and is a side scroller.   You mine, craft and create things in the same fashion.  One advantage this game has is whatever you're carrying will go with you to the next world you create.  So you can move stuff around if you want.  Even joining into your friends world you can do the same.

So it was a steady pace with my daughter learning how this game works.  I bought Dying Light so that pulled me away some.  The real kicker is when we were finally starting to unlock and get newer cool stuff she got hooked playing Minecraft again as she was playing online with some friends.  So I was full on Dying Light until I saw Fshguy online playing Terraria.  My daughter hasn't played with me since I started playing with Fshguy and I've completely left her behind now in the game. 

With Fshguy I've unlocked all but 3 achievements as of today.   I've gotten most of best weapons in the game. Yet he still finds stuff I don't have just because there is just so  much to find and get.  We worked on killing the temple boss and we never realized he was going to drop as many good items as he did.  We might have to go kill some more bosses to get some more good dropped loot.

Couple days ago I was working to get all the armor.  I realized I had miss making some items as some armor sets have more than one piece of headgear.  The wiki is also wrong as of today as it shows some armor for the PC but the Xbox One got an update so some of those armors are now in the game that you have to get.  So Fshguy comes in to put the armor he hasn't gotten yet and gets the achievement from picking up what I've made.  I didn't get the achievement.  We had no clue as to why but the relentless task of trying multiple different ways to make it pop didn't work.  After trying other accounts and they didn't get the achievement, something had to be missing.  So I went back and organized all the armor in order as the websites showed.  When I got to the very end I finally saw what I was missing.  I didn't have the sapphire robe.  Fshguy had issues that night and deleted that robe before giving it to me.  What I had was the normal silk robe that is blue like the Sapphire robe but no where near as bright and doesn't count.  I really wished I lived close by to go pay him a visit for that.  It might be worth the trip.  Needless to say once I made the robe, the achievement popped right away.  That was two nighttime play times spent trying to figure that out.

One thing Fshguy did tell me as I saw this on his review on Gamertag Nation was how to zoom in.  It's very easy to miss and I've been playing the game the entire time fully zoomed out.  Click start and then use your LT and RT buttons to zoom to your liking. You are definitely going to want to zoom in on this game to play.  Especially if you have someone playing with you on the same screen as the characters get really small and hard to see.

The game overall is pretty fun but can be a bit daunting for all you need to do.  Especially if you're going for 100% in achievements.

All that's left now is to find all the pets, corrupt and hallow most of the world.  Three achievements to go but that's a lot of work that needs to be done.  At this point in the game you will be creating more worlds.  I've been playing in 1 for the majority and have a 2nd one for getting some corrupt items that you can't get on a crimson one I have.

When all is said and done, if the achievements will pop by going in another person's world then I'll be able to really help people knockout a bunch of the achievements really quickly when I'm done.

A Post, WOW!

It has been a good bit since I've made a post on here.  Just staying really busy and when I could post here, I decide to play a game or watch a movie instead.  Can't blame me for that.

I keep picking up all the free arcade games that show up each month but I haven't gotten around to playing any of them except for 2.  Halo Spartan Assault and Limbo, which I've finished both of them.

I did finish off LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. 

Oh yea, I bought the Monopoly family back and finished Monopoly.  I did not however play and beat that other mode yet.  Guess I should do that. 

I have played a little on Pinball FX 2. 

I finished off Minecraft on both the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One.  Now my daughter is hooked on Terreria so I've started playing that.  Been exploring my 1 world and I'm almost to the point of starting hard mode on that game.  Wish more of my friends played this game.  It would probably go a lot quicker on finishing off the achievements. 

I have played Titanfall some but I haven't touched it since Christmas time.  Made it half way through the game on achievements.  That's at least something I guess.

I bought LEGO Movie Videogame during Christmas along with Zombie Driver but haven't played either one yet.

What I did buy was Dying Light.  It's just like Dead Island, so if you enjoyed that game, you'll enjoy this.  Looks better by a long shot.  I'm still early on in the game but I did get to play with Ichya last weekend which made the game way funnier than going it alone.

Away from games, my laptop and printer died on me.  So ended up buying new ones of those.

Kids are always swamped with something going on, so busy with them a lot more as well.

So there's an update for everyone on stuff I'm at.  Let me know if you get Dying Light.  Would love to play online with someone versus running it alone.
